GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. THIS IS A COORDINATED DIR PA AND DC/PPO FOS MSG. FLEET WEEK NEW YORK CITY HAS PROVIDED DURING THE SPRING FOR OVER 30 YEARS AN UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MARINE CORPS TO GENERATE EXTENSIVE AWARENESS OF OUR PEOPLE, MISSIONS, CAPABILITIES AND NAVAL CHARACTER. ADDITIONALLY, FLEET WEEK ASSISTS IN THE NATIONAL RECRUITING EFFORT AND HELPS COMMUNICATE OUR CORPS VALUES AND ETHOS. POSITIVE NATIONAL MEDIA EXPOSURE AND HIGH-PROFILE EVENTS SUPPORTED BY MORE THAN 120 FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ARE INTEGRAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS ANNUAL EFFORT. MARINE CORPS COMMANDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO GENEROUSLY SUPPORT THIS NATIONAL OUTREACH MISSION. THIS MESSAGE OUTLINES BACKGROUND INFORMATION CONCERNING FLEET WEEK, SPECIFIC SUPPORT REQUESTED, AND POINTS OF CONTACT FOR HQMC. THE EXECUTIVE AGENT FOR THIS EVENT IS HQMC DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, NEW YORK CITY BRANCH.
2. BACKGROUND: FLEET WEEK NEW YORK CITY OCCURS 26 MAY 2010 - 2 JUNE 2010. HOSTED BY THE CITY OF NEW YORK, FLEET WEEK INCLUDES A WEEK-LONG SERIES OF OVER 200 COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND MEDIA OUTREACH ACTIVITIES. IN ADDITION TO DAILY NATIONAL MEDIA AVAILABILITIES, THERE ARE RECEPTIONS WITH DISTINGUISHED INDIVIDUALS AND NATIONAL INFLUENCERS, UNIQUE AREA CANVASSING OPPORTUNITIES, AND HIGH-PROFILE COMMUNITY RELATIONS EVENTS CONDUCTED IN UNISON WITH THE UNITED STATES NAVY. AS THE EXECUTIVE AGENT FOR THE MARINE CORPS PORTION OF FLEET WEEK, NYC PAO REPRESENTS MARINE CORPS INTERESTS DURING EXECUTIVE STEERING COMMITTEE AND PLANNING MEETINGS WITH COMMANDER NAVY REGION MIDATLANTIC (CNRMA) AND COMMANDER US SECOND FLEET, ON BEHALF OF PARTICIPATING MARINE UNITS. NYC PAO ALSO REVIEWS AND PRIORITIZES REQUESTS FOR USMC SUPPORT DURING FLEET WEEK THAT WILL BE PASSED TO MARFORCOM G3/G5 WHO WILL TASK THE ASSIGNED UNITS WITH THESE MISSIONS. MANY ACTIVITIES ARE NAVY-LED HOWEVER SOME ARE USMC-LED. A SAMPLE OF 2010 ACTIVITIES INCLUDES:

I. SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS WITH CENTERS OF INFLUENCE IN THE MEDIA, WALL STREET EXECUTIVES AND EDUCATORS.
3. UNIFORMS: THE UNIFORM OF THE DAY DURING FLEET WEEK IS BLUE DRESS "D." THE SEASONAL CLIMATE MAY REQUIRE THE TANKER AND/OR BLUE SWEATER DURING MORNING AND EVENING HOURS. MARINES PARTICIPATING IN AND/OR DIRECTLY SUPPORTING MARINE DAYS AT TIMES SQUARE AND CENTRAL PARK AND THE SPMAGTF RAID DEMOS WILL WEAR DESERT MARPAT UTILITY UNIFORM. THE UTILITY UNIFORM WILL NOT BE WORN AT ANY OTHER EVENT UNLESS DICTATED BY THE COMMANDER IN ACCORDANCE WITH CMC GUIDANCE ON WEAR OF THE UTILTY UNIFORM. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT COMMANDERS PRESCRIBE A MODIFIED DESERT MARPAT UTLILITY UNIFORM (WITH GREEN SWEATSHIRT AND APPROPIRATE GREEN AND/OR UNIT T-SHIRT) FOR COMREL EVENTS INVOLVING LABOR, PAINT, ETC. OFFICERS AND STAFF NCOS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING DRESS BLUE "A" AND "B" UNIFORMS FOR EVENING EVENTS. IN ADDITION, FIELD GRADE OFFICERS AND SENIOR STAFF NCOS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO WEAR EVENING DRESS FOR VARIOUS RECEPTIONS.
4. SUPPORT: THE FOLLOWING SUPPORT IS REQUESTED TO FACILITATE THE MARINE CORPS MISSION DURING FLEET WEEK NYC 2010:
A. MARINE BARRACKS WASHINGTON: USMC BATTLE COLOR DETACHMENT, FOR NATIONAL MEDIA APPEARANCES, RECRUITING MISSION SUPPORT; INCLUDING PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AT TIMES SQUARE, IN CENTRAL PARK, THE INTREPID AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM PARADE OF SAIL, AT PROFESSIONAL SPORTING EVENTS, AND OTHER RELATED EVENTS. ALL APPEARANCES CAN BE COORDINATED TO OCCUR DURING A CONSOLIDATED TIMEFRAME THAT WILL ALLOW THE RETURN OF THE BATTLE COLOR DETACHMENT TO 8TH AND I PRIOR TO THE CONCLUSION OF FLEET WEEK.
B. MARFORCOM: PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE SIZED SPMAGTF.
(1) PROVIDE A USMC INFANTRY BN (REIN) WITH THE FOLLOWING ASSETS AND CAPABILITIES, ISO MEDIA COVERAGE, FLYOVERS, STATIC DISPLAYS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND EVENTS: ORGANIC VEHICLES, WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT TO INCLUDE (1) M1A1 TANK, (1) EFV, (1) AAV, (1) LAV, (1) MRAP, (1) MTVR, (1) HIMARS, (1) M198 HOWITZER, (1) 81MM MORTAR, (1) 60MM MORTAR, (2) M2 50CAL MACHINE GUNS, AND (2) MK-19 40MM AUTOMATIC GRENADE LAUNCHER; (1) NON-LETHAL WEAPONS DISPLAY, (1) MILITARY POLICE WORKING DOG SECTION; (2) SMALL ARMS WEAPONS DISPLAYS; (6) MARINE CORPS MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM DEMONSTRATORS; CAPABILITY TO SUPPORT EXECUTION OF NO LESS THAN EIGHT SQUAD-SIZED HELO RAID DEMOS AT MULTIPLE SITES, DURING A SEVEN DAY PERIOD; AND SUPPORT OF AN AMPHIBIOUS LANDING DEMONSTRATION.
(2) PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING TYPE/QUANTITY OF USMC A/C TO SHOWCASE MARINE AVIATION ISO NATIONAL MEDIA AVAILABILITIES, FLYOVERS FOR THE PARADE OF SHIPS AND MEMORIAL DAY SPORTING EVENTS, AMPHIBIOUS LANDING DEMONSTRATION, HELO RAID DEMONSTRATIONS, STATIC DISPLAYS AND DV LIFT: (4) F/A-18, (1) CH-53E, (4) CH-46E, (4) MV-22 OPSREY, (3) AH-1W, AND (1) UH-1N. SPECIFIC DATES AND DETAILED REQUIREMENTS OUTLINING INVOLVEMENT FOR ALL REQUESTED A/C WILL BE PROVIDED IN SEPARATE CORRESPONDENCE THROUGH APPROPRIATE COMMAND CHANNELS. NOTE THAT (4) MV-22 INCLUDE (1) MV-22 THAT WILL REMAIN STATIC ON THE LHD DECK. NOTE THAT EACH SPMAGTF RAID DEMO HAS THE POTENTIAL OF MEDIA INCLUSION, TO INCLUDE EMBARK ABOARD AIRCRAFT. MV-22 PARTICIPATION WILL SIGNIFICANTLY AID IN THE COMMUNICATION OF AIR CRAFT CAPABILITIES AND RECENT EMPLOYMENT SUCESSES TO INCLUDE COMBAT MISSIONS AND RECENT HADR EMPLOYMENT. (NOTE: PRIOR COORDINATION BETWEEN MARFORCOM G3/G5 STATES THAT MARFORRES MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ONE CH-46E AND ONE CH-53E FOR STATIC DISPLAY PURPOSES ON THE AMPHIB).
(3) BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE RUNNING BUDDY FOR EACH WOUNDED WARRIOR PARTICIPATING IN THE "GROUND ZERO" RUN; AND OTHER EVENTS IDENTIFIED BY THE COMMANDER, AND AS MAY BE IDENTIFIED BY THE WOUNDED WARRIOR REGIMENT AND NYC PAO.
(4) BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE WATCH STANDER TO GUARD THE MARINE CORPS MUSEUM TRAVELING EXHIBIT DURING WORKING HOURS OF THE INTREPID AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM.
(5) PROVIDE TWO FAC TEAMS, EACH TO INCLUDE A DRIVER, A MEDIA ESCORT (TO BE IN THE HELO WHEN MEDIA IS EMBARKED), A PORTABLE PA SYSTEM FOR NARRATION, COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO TALK WITH THE PILOTS, DRINKING WATER AND TRANSPORTATION IN SUPPORT OF NO LESS THAN FEASIBILITY OF SUPPORT FOR FLEET WEEK NEW YORK CITY 2010 EIGHT SQUAD-SIZED SPMAGTF AIR/GROUND RAID DEMOS AT MULTIPLE AND GEOGRAPHICALLY-SEPARATED SITES THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK CITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. PROVIDE NO LESS THAN ONE CELLULAR PHONE NUMBER FOR EACH TEAM TO BOTH THE MARFORCOM AIR OPERATIONS OFFICER AND NYC PAO FOR SHORT-NOTICE COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS OCCURING DURING THE EXECUTION OF SAID EVENTS. NOTE THAT THE MEDIA ESCORT NEED NOT BE A PUBLIC AFFAIRS MARINE. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS ESCORT IS TO ENSURE THE MEDIA FOLLOW CORRECT AIRCRAFT AND LANDING ZONE PROTOCOL AND HAVE ACCEPTABLE ABILITIES TO TALK TO THE MARINES AND CORPSMEN IN THE RAID FORCE AND CAPTURE STILL AND VIDEO IMAGES IN A SAFE AND APPROPRIATE MANNER. SECONDARY TO THIS, THE PUBLIC AFFAIRS SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS FUNCTION NEED NOT EXCEED THOSE THAT MAY BE STATED BY THE COMMANDER AND BRIEFED OR TRAINED BY THE SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER AND/OR CHIEF. REQUEST THAT DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, NEW YORK CITY BRANCH BE INFORMED AT YOUR EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY AS TO HOW MANY AIRCRAFT SEATS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE MEDIA DURING EACH RAID FLIGHT, SO THAT REPLIES TO INTERESTED MEDIA OUTLETS CAN BE MADE AND SEATS ALLOCATED IN A MANNER TIMELY ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR THE SUBMITTION OF BY-NAME MEDIA EMBARK REQUESTS TO HQMC.
(6) PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF FLEET WEEK EXECUTION:
(A) SUFFICIENT QUANTITY OF COMPANY GRADE OFFICERS AND/OR SNCOS TO MAINTAIN TWO CONSISTENT SPMAGTF WATCH PRESENCES (ONE EACH IN BOTH THE FLEET WEEK COMMAND OPERATIONS CENTER AND THE FLEET WEEK MEDIA/COMREL COORDINATION TRAILER) FOR THE ENTIRETY OF FLEET WEEK; SERVING AS A DIRECT LIAISON BETWEEN THE COMMAND CENTER, ESPECIALLY ITS NAVY/MARINE CORPS PUBLIC AFFAIRS REPRESENTATIVES COORDINATING MEDIA AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS VISITS, AND THE LHD-EMBARKED MARINES;
(B) (1) FIELD GRADE PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER, (2) COMPANY-GRADE PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICERS, (2) PUBLIC AFFAIRS SNCOS (4) COMBAT CORRESPONDENTS AND (4) COMBAT PHOTO AND VIDEOGRAPHERS IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF NYC PAO AND INDIRECT SUPPORT OF SPMAGTF/MEU PAO. PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND MEDIA MARINES CAN BE EMBARKED TO MAINTAIN CLOSE PROXIMITY AND CONSERVE RESOURCES. PAOS SHOULD BRING THE TOOLS AND CAPABILITIES NECESSARY TO GENERATE PRODUCTS AND DELIVER IT TO RELEVANT OUTLETS, INCLUDING MARINES.MIL AND EXTERNAL MEDIA, ONCE APPROVED FOR RELEASE BY NYC PAO AND/OR SPMAGTF/MEU PAO AND PA CHIEF.
(7) BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FOR MARINE CORPS (MARINES, CORPSMEN AND RELIGIOUS SERVICE SPECIALISTS) PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVE AND PASSIVE MEDIA-RELATED EVENTS INVOLVING INTERVIEWEES, DISPLAYS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES SIMILAR IN NATURE AS COORDINATED BY DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, NEW YORK CITY BRANCH AND SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
C. MARINE CORPS RECRUITING COMMAND:
(1) PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE, LOGISTICAL, CIVILIAN, EDUCATOR AND REGULATORY COORDINATION AND SUPPORT FOR THE SPMAGTF AIR/GROUND RAID DEMOS AT AREA HIGH SCHOOLS; TO INCLUDE PARENT AND POOLEE ATTENDANCE AND APPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF ASSETS (H-3, PULL-UP BAR CHALLENGE, RECRUITER SUPPORT MATERIAL AND INCENTIVE ITEMS, ETC.).
(2) EXECUTE THE NECESSARY COORDINATION AND PROCEDURES WITH APPROPRIATE AGENCIES IN ORDER TO EMBARK POOLEES AND RECRUITING COMMAND PERSONNEL ABOARD THE LHD IN NORFOLK FOR TRANSIT TO NEW YORK CITY.
(3) PROVIDE DRILL INSTRUCTOR TEAMS AND LOGISTICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO RECRUIT TRAINING-RELATED DEMONSTRATIONS AND TO SERVE AS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS DURING SELECTED SPEAKING FEASIBILITY OF SUPPORT FOR FLEET WEEK NEW YORK CITY 2010 ENGAGEMENTS; TO INCLUDE MARINE DAYS AT TIMES SQUARE AND IN CENTRAL PARK, VARIOUS HIGH SCHOOL VISITS AND NO LESS THAN EIGHT SQUAD-SIZED SPMAGTF AIR/GROUND RAID DEMOS AT MULTIPLE SITES; TO INCLUDE PARENT AND POOLEE ATTENDANCE AND APPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF ASSETS (H-3, PULL-UP BAR CHALLENGE, RECRUITER SUPPORT MATERIAL AND INCENTIVE ITEMS, ETC.).
(4) PROVIDE SUPPORT DURING BATTLE COLOR DETACHMENT AND MARINE BAND AVAILABILITIES AT TIMES SQUARE, CENTRAL PARK, HIGH SCHOOL VISITS, ETC, BY COORDINATING ACTIVE ATTENDANCE AT MUSICIAN ENLISTMENT OPTION PROGRAM (MEOP) AND HIGH SCHOOL MUSICIAN WORKSHOPS AND PASSIVE HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND POOLEE ATTENDANCE AT VARIOUS MUSICAL PERFORMANCES.
(5) PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND COORDINATION BETWEEN J. WALTER THOMPSON AND NYC PAO ON MATTERS RELATING TO NAVY AND MARINE CORPS MARKETING AND ADVERTISING IN SUPPORT OF FLEET WEEK TO INCLUDE SIGNAGE FOR MARINE DAY TIMES SQUARE AND CENTRAL PARK, AND THE SPMAGTF AIR/GROUND RAID DEMOS.
(6) COORDINATE WITH NAVY REGION NORTH EAST PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO MAINTAIN A DISPLAY PRESENCE AT THE PIER DURING FLEET WEEK (EXCLUDING SUNDAY, 30 MAY 2010, DUE TO CRUISE SHIP OPERATIONS); TO INCLUDE PARENT AND POOLEE ATTENDANCE AND APPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF ASSETS (H-3, PULL-UP BAR CHALLENGE, RECRUITER SUPPORT MATERIAL AND INCENTIVE ITEMS, ETC.). SHIP TOURS ARE ALSO OCCURING AND AVAILABLE DURING THE HOURS AFFORDED FOR DISPLAYS.
(7) BE PREPARED TO ENGAGE SHORT-NOTICE ENHANCED AREA CANVASSING OPPORTUNITIES DURING FLEET WEEK; TO INCLUDE POOLEE ATTENDANCE AND APPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF ASSETS (H-3, PULL-UP BAR CHALLENGE, RECRUITER SUPPORT MATERIAL AND INCENTIVE ITEMS, ETC.).
(8) BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT MILITARY PARTICIPATION IN SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND MAJOR SPORTING EVENTS (PARADES, MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL AND SOCCER, ETC.); TO INCLUDE COLOR GUARDS, FLAG UNFURLERS, COMMAND REPRESENTATION, UNIFORMED ATTENDEES AND APPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF ASSETS (H-3, PULL-UP BAR CHALLENGE, RECRUITER SUPPORT MATERIAL AND INCENTIVE ITEMS, ETC.).
(9) BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FOR MARINE CORPS (MARINES, CORPSMEN AND RELIGIOUS SERVICE SPECIALISTS) PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVE AND PASSIVE MEDIA-RELATED EVENTS INVOLVING INTERVIEWEES, DISPLAYS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES SIMILAR IN NATURE AS COORDINATED BY NYC PAO AND SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
(10) MANY OF THE FLEET WEEK EVENTS MAY PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR RS POOLEE EVENTS OR PARTICIPATION. RS NEW YORK AND RS NEW JERSEY SHOULD EXPLOIT THESE OPPORTUNITIES, COORDINATING AND/OR COMMUNICATING ALL EFFORTS TOWARD THESE ENDS WITH NYC PAO, SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND 1ST MCD/MCRC PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
(11) CONDUCT ADVANCE COORDINATION WITH LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS TO IDENTIFY LOCATIONS FOR AIRCRAFT STATIC DISPLAY OPPORTUNITIES.
D. MARINE FORCES RESERVE:
(1) FLEET WEEK SERVES AS A SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY RELATIONS MISSION ENABLER FOR MARFORRES. TO HELP FACILITATE UNITY OF EFFORT AND MAXIMIZE EFFICIENCY, REQUEST COORDINATION AND SUPPORT AMONG NYC-AREA RESERVE UNITS RELATED TO REQUESTS FOR MEDIA EVENTS, COLOR GUARDS, MEMORIAL DAY PARADE PARTICIPATION, AND SIMILAR COMREL-ORIENTED ACTIVITIES IN THE NYC AREA DURING THE FLEET WEEK PERIOD. UNITS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST INCLUDE: 6TH COMM BN, BROOKLYN, NY; 2/25, GARDEN CITY, NY; 2/25, DOVER, NJ; 6TH MOTORS, RED BANK, NJ; AND MAG-49 DET B, NEWBURGH, NY. PUBLIC AFFAIRS AUGMENTATION WOULD BE BENEFICIAL AND IS ENCOURAGED. ANY MARFORRES PUBLIC AFFAIRS MARINES ARE ENCOURAGED TO EMBARK IN NORFOLK WITH THE SPMAGTF.

(2) BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FOR MARINE CORPS PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVE AND PASSIVE MEDIA-RELATED EVENTS INVOLVING INTERVIEWEES, DISPLAYS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES SIMILAR IN NATURE AS COORDINATED BY NYC PAO AND SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS.

(1) PROVIDE SELECTED EQUIPMENT, SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS SUPPORT VIA THE COMMAND AND PROGRAM MANAGERS TO COMMUNICATE THE MISSION OF THE JOINT NON-LETHAL WEAPONS DIRECTORATE AND SHOWCASE RECENT AND FUTURE NON-LETHAL WEAPONS CAPABILITIES AND INITIATIVES, FOR SIMILAR PURPOSES AND OUTCOMES OUTLINED FOR MCCDC AND MARINE CORPS SYSTEMS COMMAND IN PRIOR PARAGRAPHS.
(2) BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FOR MARINE CORPS PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVE AND PASSIVE MEDIA-RELATED EVENTS INVOLVING INTERVIEWEES, DISPLAYS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES SIMILAR IN NATURE AS COORDINATED BY DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, NEW YORK CITY BRANCH AND SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
H. WOUNDED WARRIOR REGIMENT (WWR).
(1) IN ORDER TO SUPPORT AND BUILD UPON EXISTING BENEFICIAL RELATIONSHIPS IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA, REQUEST THAT WWR COMMUNICATE EVENTS TO BE ATTENDED (INCLUDING SPONSORING ORGANIZATIONS AND SIZES OF ATTENDING PARTIES) WITH NYC PAO, WHO WILL RECIPROCATE AND PROVIDE WWR WITH SEQUENCE OF EVENTS LISTING AND FACILITATE INQUIRIES REGARDING TARGETS OF OPPORTUNITY DURING FLEET WEEK.
(2) IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE WWR PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER BE IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA DURING AND, IF FEASIBLE, PRIOR TO FLEET WEEK IN SUPPORT OF THE WOUNDED WARRIORS WHO WILL BE ATTENDING THE MANY AND VARIOUS NON-PROFIT-SPONSORED EVENTS DURING THIS TIME.
(3) AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE REGIMENTAL COMMANDER AND NYC PAO, NYC PAO IS PREPARED TO CONSIDER AND PREPARE THE WAY FOR INCLUSION OF THE WOUNDED WARRIORS IN EVENTS IDENTIFIED BY THE REGIMENT (E.G. THE "GROUND ZERO" RUN). NOTE THAT THE LOGISTICAL SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS WILL REMAIN THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SPONSORING ORGANIZATION(S), AS NYC PAO AND SPMAGTF/MEU PAOS HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES AT THEIR DISPOSAL. HOWEVER, ANY REQUESTS FOR SUCH SUPPORT WILL BE RECEIVED AND CONSIDERED BY BOTH OFFICES AS REQUESTED BY THE REGIMENTAL PAO, AND ALL AVAILABLE OPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN AN EFFORT TO ACCOMMODATE THE WOUNDED WARRIORS.

(1) PROVIDE AN ALL MARINE TEAM TO SUPPORT PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVE AND PASSIVE MEDIA-RELATED EVENTS INVOLVING INTERVIEWEES, SPORTING EVENTS, DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES SIMILAR IN NATURE AS COORDINATED BY DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, NEW YORK CITY BRANCH AND SPMAGTF/MEU PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
